Super Cup Round 4

Thursday night saw another nail biting Super Cup round !!

The first game Australian All Stars -v- Barbados Blades ended 45 -v- 39 but it wasn't until the last quarter that the goal difference was more than 1. The first quarter ended 13 all and both teams gave a good opening performance. Blades pulled ahead at the start of the 2nd quarter but All Stars closed the gap to 1 goal. The 3rd quarter saw the reverse happen: All Stars pulled ahead with Blades closing the gap to 1. Both teams went into the final quarter with a battle on their hands. Blades made some unforced errors allowing All Stars to take advantage and end the game 6 goals ahead.

The second game New Zealand Warriers -v- Singapore Sharks saw Warriers have their worst start so far loosing out 7 goals to 10. The pace was slower than their normal but undeterred they pulled back 21 - 20 in the 2nd quarter. They increased their lead to 30 - 26 in the 3rd but not without a good fight from Sharks. Sharks won the last quarter but didn't put away enough goals to stop the Warriers winning 36 - 34.

Thanks to everyone who helped out: umpires, scorers and time keepers. The last round is scheduled for:
